Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use any printer and paper/card?

Most home printers can handle 200gsm card. If you have a rear loading printer where the card doesn't bend in the printer you can use a stiffer card of 220gsm or more.

How do I prevent the printer smudging the print?

Use a non glossy paper or leave prints to dry between copies.

How do I cut the card?

You can use Scissors or a card cutting guillotine. Allow an adult to help you if you are young and unfamiliar in cutting card. Some cards will have spaces between images to allow smaller cards to be produced. You can use your judgement or measure first before cutting to help with straight.

I can't think of what to write in the card?

When you buy some of the cards, they come with a suggestion in the card description of what you could write. Don't feel bound to use it though. Honest, heart felt messages require vulnerability and bravery. Messages like these are remembered for a lifetime.

How do I color the card in?

You can use felt tip pens, pencils and paint. Remember paint will need news paper to protect table tops and more drying time. If you use pastels, they can smudge easily, so spray with an aerosol fixative from a art store. Spray in a ventilated outside area and let dry.
